GIR CAFE
GIR café came as both physical
and program extension to previously designed and realized GIR furniture showroom. More accurately, it is an extension to its so-called experience zone, that was already a
step further into a new shopping culture, which combines design with user
experience and behavioural patterns.
The whole concept was created around GIR main vision and in relation to the previously realized showroom space. Where the showroom acts as an introduction to the process of manufacturing solid wood furniture, the GIR café takes visitors even further – reminiscent of the forest and the source. Clad in wood and bolded in black, rich in texture and contrast, petite café materializes in contrast to the clean, white, grandeur retail space.
This little beverage heaven lays hidden behind a mammoth-sized arch mirror doors, acting as a sort of ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ portal and threshold into the space of unravelling stories and experiences.
